 and Muay Thai Confederation web site.

Bulgarian Kick Box and Muay Thai Confederation administers kick boxing(low kick, full contact, K- 1, light contact, semi contact, musical forms and aerokickbox styles) and muay thai. The organization is licensed by the management of the above sports of the State Youth and Sports Agency No.001482/ 1999.

In accordance with the Bulgarian legislation BCKBMT is the only legitimate organization entitled to organize and manage in Bulgaria and to present to the world Bulgarian kick box and muay thai contestants.

At present, the organization has 50 sports clubs around the country. The National Referee Council and National Coach Council have been set up and functioning.

In 2008 Bulgaria is due to host:

       WAKO European Kickboxing Championship in full contact, semi contact, musical forms and aerokickbox styles, which will take place from 21- 26 October in Varna

The powerful Bulgarian state system on the Balkans led by Khan Asparuh united and led the ancient Thracian ethnic group and the Slavonic tribes in irresistible breakthrough against the inheritors of the Roman Empire- Byzantium and the Franks Kingdom. A third empire in Europe has sprung up on the crossroad of Asia and Africa.
